Sandy of Brunhal was owned and trained by Peg Harvey, his CD appearing in the AKC
Gazette September 1951, and the UD in April 1953. Peg showed Sandy in the obedience ring at about the
same time that Carolyn Langdon was
showing Ch Sea Isle Wee Bairn UDT. Carolyn had begun wearing slacks in the obedience ring several years
earlier, but Peg always wore a skirt.
Carolyn assisted Peg in the tracking training of Sandy, who passed the TD test of the New
England Dog Training Club on May 3, 1953. Whether he passed any other tests is unknown, but
Carolyn Langdon reported that this first TD test
resulted in a pass. Sandy's UDT title was published in the August 1953 AKC Gazette.
