Whiteoak Never Say Never Again |
AKC introduced the TDU test (Tracking Dog Urban) in 2014 in response to decreasing amounts of open land available to train
dogs in field tracking. While it is considered to be an entry level tracking test, the pass rate is considerably lower than that
achieved by dogs competing in TD tests. TDU tests are uncommon, and sometimes have few entries compared with TD tests. Ari is
the first Shetland Sheepdog to earn a TDU title. She passed the test given by the Moraine Tracking Club on September 19, 2021.
Owner and trainer Inge Suchanek said this of her:
"Yesterday Ari earned her TDU (Tracking Dog Urban) title at the Moraine Tracking Club held at Lincolnshire, Illinois. Our
journey to this title was quite a challenge and I'm so proud of our little girlie! Thanks to Myra Harrison, and Laura Michelle
for bringing this sassy, silly, sweet "naughty" girl into our home! Thanks to the Moraine Tracking Club, judges Lois Leidahl
Marsh and Connie Austin and my stinky foot tracklayer, Pam Reilley Kristoff for all their contributions to our success
yesterday. Now onto TDX and VST!"

Ari did indeed go on to advanced tracking. She passed her VST test at the Western Waukesha County Dog
Training Club on a cold rainy day on October 15, 2023.
