No formal command provided, but this countermarch may be initiated and accompanied by a variety of exclamatory outcries

Files countermarch by every soldier turning and leaving quickly.  This countermarch may be performed in the face of overwhelming force.   Such countermarch may proceed as far back as the baggage train, the woods or the road home.
