We are very excited about this boy, the first male we ever considered good enough to keep.  We should have known from the freckles on his face that he'd have an exuberant, confident personality.   Dustin is now competing enthusiastically in the agility ring.

Now that he's finished his Grand Championship, he is only sparingly shown in the breed ring.  He was Select Dog at the Centennial Shetland Sheepdog Club of Greater Denver in August 2012.

He is the sire of Ch Sagebrush Jolee Golden Dreamer PT AX AXJ JHD VCX, and of our young Sagebrush Girl In The Valley, NA NAJ.   Other promising youngsters are still growing up.

Oh, yes, he has herding instinct!  Dustin earned his HT (Herding Tested) title at the SSCNC herding tests on June 4-5, 2006, his JHD on sheep on October 7-8, 2006 at the Willowside Goose Wranglers tests, and his PT on sheep the weekend of November 4-5, 2006.

Dustin is turning out to be a really good agility dog.  We're starting to function well as a team, and he's well on his way to his MACH (Master Agility Championship).

Dustin doesn't think tracking is nearly as much fun as herding and agility.  But he passed his Tracking Test on a stormy March day in 2011, working his way to the prized glove in spite of the rain and winds strong enough to bring down power lines.  That's a very wet wind-blown tracking line in the photograph.
