Janelle was bred by her co-owner, JoAnne Hawkins of Jolee's Collies, and came to live with us as a three month old puppy.  We were afraid she might go oversize, but she stayed in size with a bit of room to spare.  Janey has proven to be a gentle, friendly girl, no surprise considering that Dustin is her sire.  We are very pleased with this young lady, who has three Best of Breeds, a Group 3, and a Specialty Reserve. 

Sporting seven points, Janelle went up to Gary Whitmore in Washington after the 2010 National Specialty, to look for the major entries that weren't happening at home.  Seven shows later, she was a champion.  Now that she's finished her championship, she's been competing in the agility ring and training in sheep herding.

Janelle is the dam of a litter of seven, including the major pointed Sagebrush Black Maverick, PT RN XF MX MXJ T2B JHD VC.

Janelle made her agility debut at the ASSA National Specialty in March 2010.  She continued to compete in agility in the latter half of 2010 and into 2011.

Janelle was introduced to sheep as a youngster, and although she showed some interest, she didn't have a sustained desire to work. We went back to herding in late 2010, and she discovered a whole new love in life.  She earned her Herding Tested and Pre-Trial Tested titles in the fall of 2011, and is currently training for herding trials.
